I was able to get this hotel for $100 a night. Was not the most fancy or elegant but it did the job. Walking distance to the venue.

Liked: Very close to Hard Rock and City Walk.

Liked: Clean; affordable; room service and housekeeping were great.
Disliked: No balconies for a non smoking facility.

Doubletree Hotel is within walking distance of Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Hard Rock Live, and CityWalk. The Florida Mall is also a 15-minute drive from the hotel. It's a great place to stay if you're vacationing on a budget.

Liked: Centrally located near many different things.
Disliked: Parking fee I was not informed of.

Liked: I booked a double queen room for myself, my daughter and my grandson. It was a little cool on the evening that we stayed and when we arrived there were no comforters on either bed. Also the TV remote was not working. We requested another remote from the employee who brought us a threadbare blanket and duvet. We never received the remote.

Liked: Very cold in bar area in the evening, lovely staff and great breakfast service.

Just an overnight hub for...

Liked: Room and bathroom clean, well appointed. Front desk staff were helpful. This hotel is probably only good as a hub for families visiting Universal Studios.
Disliked: I had 24 hours to kill before my return flight home. Sadly this hotel offered nothing but a very small cafe in the lobby and a Starbucks on the patio area. Very few bars or restaurants within walking distance.
