The hotel was fine, but they made it very clear when we checked in and checked out that our stay would not count toward HHONORS Points since we booked through a third party. VERY disappointing. We were to get HHONORS Points for anything charged to the room, but the restaurant onsite did not have the capability to charge to the room due to a computer glitch. VERY disappointing again. We spent about $700 at a Hilton Hotel with no HHONORS points recognition.

Disappointed at DoubleTree
Liked: Staff very friendly and polite. Nice indoor pool & hot tub. Great location by the Biltmore Estates.
Disliked: Breakfast was NOT included as advertised. Hotel is run down and needs major repairs, paint, etc. Brown Recluse spider on bed sheets. Mold in shower in room, rust on shower curtain. No towel racks.

Liked: Quite hotel with all the amenities anyone would need.. Very close to the entrance of Biltmore Estate and Biltmore Village. Breakfast was delicious every morning and staff is friendly. We enjoyed the sitting in the courtyard after our daily excursions.

Superb
Liked: The breakfast turned out to be just right. There was a bit of confusion on our part about what was presented with the Continental Breakfast, but it really was quite nice and had many options. Some of us (3) got the Croissant sandwich and some (3) got the Continental Breakfast. The wait staff was very accommodating. The location was perfect for our visit to the Biltmore.
Disliked: The elevator in the front lobby was broken and we pulled our bags a rather long way down to the back elevator and around to our rooms. The restaurant menu could be re-written to describe the breakfast options more clearly and appealingly.

Convenient but if noise bothers...
Liked: Good location.
Disliked: Walls are too thin. One night (out of a 4 day stay), could hear the tv that was not deliberately set on high volume) till 3.30am. Foam ear plugs did not work.Breakfast was mediocre at best.
