We were not too sure what to expect from the outside but were pleasantly surprised by the rooms - spacious and very comfortable. We had not intended to stay for breakfast but changed our minds on arrival. Great night's sleep - beds very comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. We will definitely book again - would recommend to anyone looking for extremely good value for money to book Glasgow City Hotel. You will be as pleasantly surprised as we were.

A lovely hotel with helpful front of house staff; best night's sleep in a long time. Breakfast was fabulous and staff very prompt and attentive. Clean and tidy rooms.

Good location for Theatre, Restaurants...

Liked: Location is good for theatres and restaurants, shops etc.The room was adequate and the bed comfortable.Parking at the hotel.
Disliked: The heating in the room we were initially allocated did not work and after requesting that this be fixed no one came to do so. We were eventually allocated another room. The leisure facilities were not very well set out.Changing and showering facilities do not offer much privacy. Children walked through past adults who were in varying states of undress, albeit accompanied by adults. The floors had standing water underfoot, which made changing difficult.During our stay, the fire alarm sounded at 6 am. All guests were evacuated. This in itself was fair enough, however, no staff could be seen to be organising this or checking the guest list. The fire service came promptly and, as it was a false alarm, guests returned to their rooms, again without any staff guidance.The bar prices are ridiculous.

Definitely disappointed with a lot...

Liked: The room was a good size and the location wasn’t too far away from the centre.
Disliked: There was a party in the hotel which we weren’t warned about when booking. It was so loud our room felt like it was shaking and didn’t stop until 1am. When we arrived the toilet had been used and was filthy and the bathroom in general hadn’t been cleaned. We also had to ring to ask for things like body wash and shampoo. We booked the hotel because it had a jacuzzi but when we went to use it we found out it was broken.
