We were not too sure what to expect from the outside but were pleasantly surprised by the rooms - spacious and very comfortable. We had not intended to stay for breakfast but changed our minds on arrival. Great night's sleep - beds very comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. We will definitely book again - would recommend to anyone looking for extremely good value for money to book Glasgow City Hotel. You will be as pleasantly surprised as we were.

Liked: We were there in the midst of the storm so it was nice to have the facilities. Night time they had a singer on which was lovely as we had a night out planned but everything was cancelled due to the weather. We hadn’t planned on eating in the hotel but used the restaurant again due to the weather and we are glad we did. The food was lovely. Breakfast was beautiful, couldn’t have had any more options!
Disliked: The staff. We decided to bring cash with us. We bought a round of drinks and went to pay to be told they had just started a tab as we had ordered food. Fine. We ate and had more drinks and a bill was brought to us. We said we had intended to buy more drinks but a certain staff member wanted the bill settled first as we didn’t put a credit card down. Baring in mind we never asked for a tab. We paid this. Fine. We then had more drinks and the same happened they put it on a tab. An hour or two later they wanted this settled which we did and were then told we would be pay as you go from now on. We went here on the recommendation of our friends and they were very embarrassed at this women’s attitude as this didn’t happen previously on their stay. My friend asked why this had been and we were told it was about to get busy which made no sense but on returning to the bar I watched this women mock my friend to another member of staff.
