Smart and convenient

Liked: Great location for Guilden Sutton. Lovely hotel building and grounds. Service very good. Exactly what was required for my visit.
Disliked: No real issues.

Comfortable and worth the money

Liked: The property was amazing, very clean and well kept and the spa was one of the best I’ve been to. The room was spacious with comfortable bed and tv/ lounging area. The room service was good but quite expensive for what it is. The breakfast was very nice with a range of foods and drinks to choose from and staff are very friendly.
Disliked: There wasn’t much I didn’t like about it apart from having trouble to screen cast phone to TV as there is no Netflix/ YouTube etc so just had to watch normal tv but wasn’t much of a big deal.

Good

Liked: Great breakfast with a lovely atmosphere. The location was further away from central than anticipated and getting Uber was a nightmare but the hotel is in a lovely quiet location.

Staff lovely hotel not so...

Liked: The staff were very pleasant - just not enough of them. The food was also good.
Disliked: I had to wait over half an hour to check in. The staff did give me a couple of vouchers and were very apologetic but it was very noticeable that on a Saturday afternoon there was not enough staff. There was a dinner dance that I was attending, plus it seemed another event part from the spa and normal hotel customers. My room was average. Somebody had set the alarm in the room so I was woken at 6am and subsequent 10 minute intervals until I at last pulled it from the wall. A stupid thing but I would suggest whoever designed your bathrooms was not a woman. To put it politely having the toilet roll holder set behind the toilet seemed a bizarre choice. It constantly fell on the floor until in the end I decided to leave it there. When I drew up to the hotel I thought how lovely it looked. However , I think the price we paid was for a a luxury evening and to be honest the hotel was more like a travel lodge.
