A lovely relaxing stay

Liked: Beautiful hotel in a beautiful area. We wanted a few days away where we could relax and enjoy the facilities as well as visiting the surrounding beautiful villages. Breakfast was lovely and staff at the hotel were very helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Improve toilet facilities and more...

Disliked: Toilet facilities for the disabled. Poor receptionist and restaurant night staff.

Very good

Liked: Ideal location to explore.the Cotswolds. Very peaceful hotel, and we were able to enjoy drinks on the terrace due to the lovely weather.Bar staff were very approachable and pleasant.The food was very nice.The only fault was when we ran out of Body Lotion/Moisturiser after our first shower (Saturday). We did request a refill, but unfortunately, after asking 3 times, our stay was over (Monday) ..and we are still waiting!

Exceptional

Liked: The hotel is lovely, clean and spacious and the grounds around are green and nice to look out at. The room was a decent size, bed- not too bad, toiletries are lovely and the shower was good. Breakfast was really nice, loads of choice and everything we had was tasty. We had food in the bar twice, one meal was great, the other was ok. Lot's of areas inside and out to sit and relax.
Disliked: We booked especially for the swimming pool and gym. We were called the night before our stay to say the pool would be closed. We were gutted, really disappointed. At reception check in, my husband said how disappointed we were about the pool and the receptionist said it was back open! No one called to tell us, so we didn't bring swimming stuff, we were really fed up. Nowhere local to buy a costume so we couldn't swim. I was so angry. The other thing was the noises from the next room during the night. Perfectly natural but loud and 2am which woke us up. In the end we cut our stay short and when we checked out, the only thing the receptionist said was, 'we won't be able to refund your second night'. I didn't expect or ask them to and as I didn't give a reason, it might have been nicer to just say either nothing or ask if anything was wrong.

Liked: Great location and a good large hotel with all the facilities you need

Liked: Lack of disability access in terms of no lifts even though the building has 2 floors, only has stairs. Could also hear people walking up and down the corridor outside of the rooms. Other than that very comforatble, clean and well presented. Lovely breakfast

No spa or pool facilities...

Liked: Looks nice from the outside. The check in staff was friendly and welcoming. The cancellation and refund of the room was granted and processed quickly.
Disliked: The facilties were not available despite the email two days before stating they were, and it was a big reason for choosing the hotel. Was told by the manager, though, that the use of the pool and spa is not part of the hotel room package, and the use of the facilities is complementary. Requested a refund and cancellation of the room which was granted.

Liked: Great trip, easy to get into town using public transport, staff were really helpful and friendly and the breakfast was amazing!
