Great sunny weekend stay in...

Liked: The location is right bang on the sea promenade but just the right amount away from the Brighton Pier, so it is busy but not crazy. The hotel refurbishment is amazing, a great mix of the old features brought to nowadays so it is also meets today's needs. The swimming pool and spa are big enough, so if it gets busy, you can still enjoy them. And, most importantly, the staff is young, friendly, and super professional. At all times, they made sure that we were cared for, and the stay was great. I called in advance, made some requests, and all of them were delivered - really nice touch
Disliked: The parking is tight, I saw 2 cars scraping their sides on pillars. On weekends it also gets super busy so you might not get a spot at all and end up having to park somewhere else. Note: they do say parking operates on a first comes first served. The mattress has springs, and every time you move, it is met with some spring noises, which make it feel a bit cheap and not super comfortable. The Metropole restaurant has amazing views of the sea, there was a live DJ playing music, making the atmosphere nice. However, the quality of the food for the price we paid is not acceptable. The pizza base was a frozen one where someone just put some tomato pazzata onto it alongside some poor pieces of cheese.

Bad

Liked: Tiny room, can’t wipe my bum on the toilet, no cup in toilet for rinsing mouth out, no robes to go to spa, had to trample around the hotel with a tiny hard crusty towel to get to my room with all clothes in hand, had lockers but needed a padlock bar ran out of mint and strawberry at 4pm and bar man was out of pretty much all cocktails you offer vending machine took my money and never dispensed the item the staff then said I need to ring a number!my view was full of bird shit 1 inch thick on the window seal ( and my bed was really uncomfortable and shower had dirty cracks over the tiles Scum over the wardrobe door all in all for £350 a night didn’t even include breakfast a joke and rip of in my eyes
