Pleasant for a short stay

Liked: The location is excellent: very close to the city center, but in the peaceful area with plenty of nature. The hotel is clean and comfortable enough for a short stay. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The decoration is rather old and loveless, and the hairdryer in the room has to be replaced: old, dusty, and isn't always working.

Step out of the fast...

Liked: This was our second stay with Dorint am Goethepark. Each time, our room overlooked the Park an der Ilm. The windows opened so we could enjoy the light breezes and bird song. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating. The hotel was within walking distance of the park, most of the town of Weimar Germany and many historic sights, lovely cafes with lots of options, bakeries, and the farmers market on the Martkplatz. The hotel is close to shopping and additionally situated within 10 minutes by taxi or bus to the Weimar train station, making for an easy long distance train ride from Frankfurt Flugehofen (airport) with a change in Erfurt on to Weimar. We did not partake of the breakfast buffet but were told it was very nice.

Liked: The room was spacious, beautiful bathroom and very comfortable during. Hotel was quiet. Close to local attractions. A good gym, which is hard to find in Germany. Decor elegant. Staff very helpful.
Disliked: Breakfast was not value for money.
