Good value stay for one...

Liked: Great location - attending a gig in the Castle Inn
Disliked: Tv is a little small and WiFi is intermittent

Passable

Liked: The location was ideal and the staff were very helpful, The courtyard outside the room was very attractive. The parking was very good.
Disliked: On arrival we were told reception was part time and they were not cooking that evening, The grout in the shower was black in places and we wondered about its cleanliness. Complimentary tea and coffee were not replenished.

Very enjoyable and relaxing,

Liked: The location was great, within walking distance to the historic downtown. We didn’t have time for breakfast, but the owner made us tea and coffee. I would highly recommend that you stay here and support this. Local business.
Disliked: There was nothing we didn’t like.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Quite run down and in...

Liked: Staff were friendly.
Disliked: The building and rooms are very run down and poorly maintained. It’s in desperate need of renovation. There’s no sound proofing in the rooms, so it’s very disturbing when other residents move around the hotel. There are definitely better hotels for the same room price. The WiFi was also unusable in most the hotel, and the speed was too slow to use where it did actually have signal. There’s also no phone network at all on the two phone networks my colleague and I were on, which meant it was impossible to contact our families.

DISSAPOINTED

Liked: we went for our Anniversary as we got married there 10 yrs ago.
Disliked: Room was for two yet setup for one person,. One water one towel, bathroom was dropping to bits. To be honest in the last ten yrs its gone down hill. Bar staff drafted in for a party with no experience although pleasant. Worst of all was asked to move the car at 11pm I mean the manager came to the pub we was in and Asked US TO MOVE THE CAR WHEN HE COULD CLEARLY SEE WE HAD BEEN DRINKING AND SAID ITSD ONLY IN THE CAR PARK. TO ACCOMODATE SOMEONE ELSE. SHOCKING.

Very convenient, friendly staff.

Liked: Nice triple room. Bit chilly when we arrived but the little heater was very efficient and warmed it up in no time.
Disliked: Some herbal tea would be a nice touch and I forgot about the random steps (I think our last visit was 18 years ago when we were all fitter!).
