Quiet bad exprience
Liked: The hotel was nice, but a few things really bothered us. The cleanliness in the lobby was lacking, the bathroom in the room we were given smelled of cigarettes on the first day, and the elevator didn't work for the first two days, and every time we contacted the receptionists they said it was a problem that would last a few minutes. We really disliked the lack of privacy in the bathroom and shower because their doors were transparent glass doors that weren't insulated from the room.

Well located if a little...
Liked: The location was perfect, walking distance to everything in the Centro Historico. The rooftop restaurant was gorgeous and definitely the highlight and the hotel felt very secure, with 24/7 guards. Things to note - there is basically no soundproofing in the rooms and there is music every night. Also breakfast really varied in quality, day one I was blown away, beautiful fruit salad, cappuccino, fruit juice, choice of bread, omelettes to order. The next day, no choice of bread, no choice of coffee. Also the room had very wobbly stairs and a wobbly banister so one to note for those with disabilities or mobility issues. But it was a good value hotel for the Easter holidays in Mexico City and the staff were lovely.

So noisy!!!
Liked: The hotel is well located and the building is beautiful. However, I would only recommend staying here during the weekend to someone who’s deaf. Seriously - the rooftop terrace is lovely but we were not able to enjoy it for more than 10 minutes because there was a live band that was SO LOUD. We tried to seek refuge in our room (on the ground floor) but you can still hear the music. In fact, you can hear it from like 2 blocks away. And this lasted from ~ 3 pm when we arrived, until 11.30 pm. On Sunday morning, at around 11 am, music started again. We are a young couple and we’re pretty tolerant to noise, but this was just too much. The owners need to choose whether they want to run a hotel or a concert venue. Both in the same building doesn’t work.

Liked: The breakfast was great and the view gave it a plus.
Disliked: One night there was low water pressure but they took care of it once we notified them of the issue.

Great hotel in an awesome...
Liked: Our stay at Domingo Santo Boutique Hotel was a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the hotel’s charm and hospitality. We stayed in the Teotihuacan suite, which overlooked a beautiful plaza. The room itself was spacious and well-appointed, providing a comfortable retreat after exploring the city. One of the standout aspects of our stay was the excellent service. The hotel allows guests to store their luggage in a secure room both before check-in and after check-out, which was incredibly convenient. They also provide access to a restroom where you can freshen up and change outfits if you arrive before check-in, making it easy to switch from your airport attire to your day outfit. Additionally, the hotel manager went above and beyond, even gifting us a bottle of wine for our anniversary, which was such a thoughtful touch. The rooftop restaurant was another highlight. The food was great, and the view was absolutely stunning. The staff here, as well as throughout the hotel, were always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. It was clear that guest experience is a priority, and their kindness made our stay even better. One thing to note is the noise level throughout the day, which is typical city noise. This is clearly stated in the booking information, so it wasn’t a surprise, but something to keep in mind if you are sensitive to noise.Security is also well taken care of, with on-site security ensuring a safe environment. The hotel’s location is fantastic, within walking distance of the Zócalo, making it easy to explore the historic center. Plus, having a 7-Eleven right across the way was super convenient for grabbing water and snacks before heading out on tours.Overall, Domingo Santo Boutique Hotel is a wonderful choice for a stay in Mexico City. Between the comfortable rooms, great service, and prime location, we had an amazing experience and would definitely stay here again!
Disliked: The iron that was provided unfortunately was spilling water out when trying to use it. In their defense I didn’t ask for another one. I just used it without water.

A wonderful place and I...
Liked: The staff is wonderful, efficient and pleasant. The location couldn't be better in the historic district. It is right next to a square that has some shops and a really old church - beautiful. The restaurant was also very good and very fun especially on Sunday brunch. I would definitely come here again.
Disliked: We had a little misunderstanding at check-in because I did this through Booking.com and apparently the hotel didn't understand my reservation was for a premium room with a balcony and they put me in a standard room on the first floor. But the next day they rectified it quickly as possible and they put us in a large corner room with two balconies overlooking the city. It was beautiful solution.
