Liked: The room was very big and well furnished, with a hospitality tray and fresh milk in the fridge. The room was also supplied with drinks and snacks which have to be paid for when checking out.The location on Wimbledon High Street, near the common, shops and restaurants is ideal. Buses run past the door to a number of destinations and the station is 15 minutes walk away.All the staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome.
Disliked: The lighting in the room was not designed well, with too many types of lights and switches and sockets all over the place, so it was not easy to work out where to turn them on and off. The heating system was rather hit and miss on two of the coldest nights so we were woken by the cold temperature early in the morning. There was a strange gurgling noise throughout our second night coming from somewhere else in the building which was rather annoying.On our second night we couldn’t access our room because the keycard had been switched off at the central booking control, so I had to go downstairs late at night to get help to access my room.The meals we had were overcooked and burnt in places and very unappetising. We ate at a different Youngs pub the following night and the food was very good. Maybe the chef at The Dog and Fox was having an off night.

Great Place to stay in...

Liked: Great pub hotel with exceptional staff. An excellent breakfast, quiet room, brilliant location
Disliked: Difficult to park the car, even for a few minutes, to drop luggage off. No problem if you're in a taxi

Perfect stay in Wimbledon Village.

Liked: Location is hard to beat, in the heart of Wimbledon Village surrounded by shops, cafes and restaurants. Love Wimbledon and Dog and Fox is the place to stay. Plus great pub and restaurant downstairs at the Hotel. Comfortable bed, quiet room.
