Handy to the marina, nice...

Very run down expensive hotel.

Liked: We think the location is very good. We live locally, and if needed to stay in town, the location is excellent. We have previously used the hotel several years ago now. Hoped it would be refurbished!The size of the rooms are great.We would wish it to be in the condition you expect of a $300 a night hotel should be.
Disliked: But the property is very run down these days. From the bathroom floor tiles with grouting missing. The shower in room 317 (that is one of the most expensive rooms upstairs looking over to the harbor) had a terrible water flow. Ants all around the shower head. The bathroom sink has an awful brown stain in it. Horrible cheap plastic tray on the sink that the flannels, soaps, shampoo etc is on. The extractor fan was very loud. The furniture is very worn. Most corners have wallpaper or paint missing. The carpets are worn in the rooms and the halls, and the dining area. The color of walls and paint work all over the hotel is dreary yellow beige. We found ants in the bed.The doorways into the front building made noises like it would fall off.For the $329 we paid for one night, it should be updated and far better condition. The room had not recently been cleaned of dust.
