Dark and stuffy

Liked: It was convenient that the property had free parking.
Disliked: This hotel was not for us! Unlike the pictures, the room was dark and stuffy. The hotel felt like it had seen it’s day and is now dying. All the facilities were old and mostly closed/unused. The room was aged and in poor repair. The carpet was damaged/pulled and not properly vacuumed (at check-in and in the service). There was no functioning air conditioning and it was very musty/dusty feeling in the room.The hotel was full of tour groups so being a young family felt like the odd ones out.

Midnight scare!!!

Liked: Cleanliness, restaurants good food and service, helpful staff.
Disliked: Lack of lighting in the hallway, another guest probably made a mistake and tried to open our door at midnight, fumbling with the keys making noise at the door. Luckily I locked the door quite firmly, then, I walked to the door, and shouted this is our room 224, this is not your room, the guest then realised he/she is trying the keys on the wrong room and backed off.

Liked: Beds were comfortable. That's a big one for us when we travel. Buffet breakfast was great with many options. Coffee made by the staff was excellent. Pool and spa were great for us and the kids. Cleaners changed and cleaned the bed when our son had an accident. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Liked: The staff were lovely, pool area and gardens lovely and welcomed. Breakfast was good.
Disliked: Restaurants were closed, could only eat in bar area. Bar closed at 9pm. I booked a hotel because I expect hotel facilities, not B&B facilities. Closing things so early makes it more like a B&B. Website should let you know that Restaurants are closed and hotel closes down at 9pm when you book. Shame, really, got great potential.
