Lovely hotel; great value; pleasant staff and very helpful; close to all areas of interest.

Liked: Great service from staff - quick check in.
Disliked: Very thin walls in rooms - can hear everything next door.

Can't praise the staff enough. We arrived and were running late to get to an appointment and they couldn't have been more helpful. The staff at breakfast were also very pleasant and helpful.

Disliked: Decor a little bit tired but in the process of upgrading.

Disliked: Our room door would not lock took the maintenance from 9am till 3:30 to come fix, after we had asked 3 times for it to be fix ment our room was unlocked all day as we told them at 9am we was heading out for the day and they said they would send someone straight up they never till we got back and complained agen, also the bed size is very small wish they done bigger bed sizes

Cosy Stay

Liked: Stayed a few times over the last 2 years. This visit, I felt all staff were more attentive than in the past. Lorraine checking us in remembered me from a previous visit, which was lovely. A warm welcome back from her & her colleagues.
Disliked: Breakfast cereal was lacking, no bran flakes or muesli. Cooked breakfast, I had tattie scone, mushrooms, tomatoes & scrambled egg. I didn't enjoy it as it wasn't hot. But this could be because it had been sat on hot plate, we arrived around 9am for breakfast.

Liked: The hotel itself was fine it was the Booking.Com experience that was the issue . When we arrived at the hotel we were advised we didn’t have a room as we had booked a family room and there were none available. The hotel staff explained this was all Booking . coms’ fault and there were no rooms available for us . We booked weeks before and paid at the time of the booking. At no time did Booking . Com notify of any issue and as I said already took the payment in full for the room we booked!We were staying in Glasgow for the theatre we had arrived in plenty of tym at the hotel to get ready have a few drinks and go for dinner. Our dinner reservation was booked also.The hotel staff spent time trying to find solutions to our issue and indeed kept checking other people in and yet we were there in plenty of tym just after check in yet couldn’t be given a room . The weather was even poor and we were soaked from arriving yet couldn’t use our room to get changed etc as no room available . We ended up having to leave for our dinner reservation. We were late to dinner and there was a drama at the restaurant as they thot we weren’t coming so we had to wait while they tried to sort something for us there . Time we got to the theatre we were quite stressed couldn’t believe what had happened nor did we know if we had a room to go back to !After the theatre ( I actually took unwell at the theatre, we thot we would have to leave however after a while we were moved seats ) which ended up being a poor experience for us all as we were stressed at this point and didn’t know if we had anywhere to stay in Glasgow, we made our way back to the hotel .At the hotel ( time wise it was now after 11 pm Saturday night 30 November ) , we were told hotel could give us 2 separate rooms for the 3 of us so someone would be on their own . This was no good to us we booked a room together to stay together.
