I can't believe a hotel this size doesn't have a few designated smoking rooms for the smoking population. The room I reserved cost a total of $195.00. When I checked out, I was given a receipt for valet parking for $20.14. I was totally shocked. I could not believe I just spent $195 on a room that was not $195 quality and I get charged for valet parking. Every hotel I have ever stayed at has complimentary valet parking. I could have parked at the Des Moines airport all week and not spent on parking what I did at the Marriott. This was very disappointing and chances are I will not stay at this Marriott again in the future.

Comfortable and convenient

Liked: This property was three blocks from the venue we were attending, so it was very convenient. The staff was super friendly. We were able to take the sky bridge from the parking garage to the hotel.
Disliked: The deadbolt on our room door didn’t work. We had to ask the front desk for a bag to go in the ice bucket. The onsite restaurant is only open for breakfast.
