Liked: Great location! Great bar! Friendly staff. Rooms very small and dated. Beds very uncomfortable.

Forget the buildings stay on...

Liked: What an absolutely charming alternative to a hotel. Plus you get a "boat" load of history with it. Warning it can be difficult to find especially if you are arriving at night. But what an amazing restoration they have done. The rooms are cozy (might be a bit closed in for some) and the old world charm is over the top. The fact that you are actually ON the river is just soothing and picturesque. I loved sitting out on the deck, with a light snack and beverage and my book after a morning of walking around Old Town. Forget the hotels! This is the way to stay in Sacramento.
Disliked: Nothing really, everything far exceed my expectations.

Disliked: The room was facing the city. Beautiful view but very noisy at night. Next time we will get a river facing room.

Liked: The location for being close to a concert.
Disliked: The noise, you can hear every step, every running child. Our room was tiny. Too small for a couple. Next time we will request 5th floor room for space and noise.

Interesting to stay somewhere different...

Liked: Location, excellent, right in the middle of the Old Town. As it's a boat, don't expect it to be the same as a hotel, although there is a certain novelty charm about it.
Disliked: Bit noisy, no aircon (although March it was still warm).

Liked: The valet quits working at 7 or 8 o’clock, so you must carry your own luggage across the parking lot and down the plank and up the stairs to your room. I paid for a River view room and just got a view of a staircase. It is quite a museum and the decode shows it. Poor water pressure. The location is very seedy and I worried about my car all night long.
