I was hoping for better...

Liked: breakfast was ok. large property.
Disliked: staff wrongly give me change back, I lost some money because of this. the room was smelling of someones sweat, some spiders webs holding dust. I expected for the price and pictures on website higher standard of the hotel, if the hotel is 4 stars and above requires really high standard of cleaning and if the linen or duvet and pillows are used for long period then they will smell of previous persons sweat. I was expecting as well that i will have some bottled water, as this is a standard even in 3 stars hotels, etc. according to what I had to pay and what was provided, the price did not match the environment, plus parking to pay not really good idea, most of place I have had visit are offering free parking. Some motels in Germany provide better service.

Liked: Hotel needs to pay attention to minor maintenance issues. Staff uniform awful. Black trousers and white shirt would look much smarter. Lift too small.

Liked: Large clean room, short taxi ride into York centre. Reasonably priced.
Disliked: The restaurant food was average.
