Beautiful Hotel, friendly staff absolutely...

Liked: I booked here with my 80yr old mum & sister for mums xmas oressy , we were given rose cottage which was a surprise (presumed we would be in a hotel room) . It was lovely & the staff were really friendly & helpful
Disliked: Unfortunately mums ability is not great & although she loves swimming (part of the reason we booked this hotel) was for the pool . She was unable to use it , the steps going into the pool were tiny & it was up & down lots of steps to get there from the hotel which pretty much wore her out & there was no way she could get down the steps to the pool

Liked: Property surroundings, comfortable room, nice food.
Disliked: Room wasn't ready upon arrival and took almost 2h to gain access. Due to this and poor staff communication we missed access to the pool.

Liked: Quiet, upmarket, listed building. Warm, cosy, lots of space. Adequate parking, but can get very busy. Two food lounges. Excellent buffet breakfast. Large bedrooms.
Disliked: A bit of a rabbit warren of bedrooms. If you have mobility issues, check where they put you. Our room took 5 mins to navigate through confusing corridors.
