I paid extra to have...

Liked: Very clean, lovely food, and great atmosphere
Disliked: I paid extra to have late checkout, my card stopped working which wasn’t a problem as reception sort this out promptly. However I place a do not disturb sign on my door and the cleaners just let themselves in while I was getting dressed! I feel that a refund for the additional late checkout should be refunded.

Liked: The bed was comfy
Disliked: We had used tissues left in our room, when letting staff at reception know they said they had cleaned it properly and it wasn’t them!!!An alarm woke us up at 6am and again at 8am with no acknowledgement from staff on check out.

Excellent hotel stay if it...

Liked: The hotel is very beautiful and rooms are of good and high standard standard as well as deco and facilities supplied. It was very clean inside and outside.The breakfast service and staff were excellent explained everything and the breakfast was nice except ran out of mushrooms and I wanted some.Dinner was awful to be honest with you your chef needs reflecting as they spoilt a beautiful stay
Disliked: We were celebrating our cousin 65th birthday and had paid £45 each for the evening meal. It was a disaster for a celebration meal or any ordinary meal in such a high spec hotel. The meal was nowhere near our cultural needs. The rice was raw and how a chef could have saved that rice is beyond us. These days there are slow cookers and rice cookers so how your chef could have come up with saving us raw rice is disturbing. Frankly we are owed our money back as this spoilt our night. The service of the meal was late, and replenishment took a lot time, the food was left uncovered and got cold, the chips which I dont have myself I believe were not nice at all.

Good accommodation, awful food service.

Liked: The hotel room was clean, comfortable and quiet. There's a swimming pool. Lots of free easy parking. It's a good location for an overnight trip to Nottingham
Disliked: The food service is awful. We waited 75 minutes for evening food in the bar that never arrived (despite repeatedly asking) before getting a refund, leaving the hotel and eating elsewhere. Total nightmare with children.
