First time visit to Milton Keynes and this hotel. Reception staff very friendly and polite. Twin room a very good size, clean and comfortable and quiet. Generally slept well, but pillows definitely need replacing - had 2 pillows but flat as pancakes and I woke with a stiff neck. Good selection at buffet style breakfast, again staff very polite and attentive. Our room booking did not include breakfast - when checking in we paid for breakfast. However if we had decided to pay the next morning in the restaurant, it would have been £5 more per person. Only one criticism, coming back to the hotel on a very cold evening at 10.00 we wanted to have coffee in the bar, but were told we couldn't because the coffee machine had been turned off, but we could have tea if we wanted. Ended up sitting in the bar/lounge area with cold drinks. The bar wasn't closing, so there didn't seem to be any reason to turn off the coffee machine. Nevertheless, enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again.

Liked: Easy to find, near motorway. Staff very friendly and polite.
Disliked: Unable to get a coffee in the bar at 22.00 because the coffee machine had been turned off.

Liked: Nice beds and decent decor.
Disliked: No tea bags or TV remote in the room on arrival (fixed by reception quickly).

Was hoping for just a bed for the night, but pleasantly surprised at the helpfulness and general good experience.

Liked: Brilliant breakfast; service with a smile; value.
Disliked: Beds pretty hard; cash machine not working; looking a little tired.

Hotel was Disappointing

Liked: Lots of Parking, entrance and resturant look welcoming and plesant, reception staff were cheerful and helpful
Disliked: Pillows had no structure and were too soft and floppy.Massive cobweb in our bedroom and a nasty stain on the carpet.Both chairs in the room were uncomfortable.There is little or no sound insulation so other guesst opening and closing doors is too loud

Liked: Very comfy beds, quiet, great quality food at breakfast. Nothing to complain about at all for a mini weekend break.

Liked: The food was excellent, both bar meals and breakfast.
Disliked: The bedroom and hotel more generally is looking unloved and badly in need of a coat of paint. The toilets in the reception area are particularly in need of decorating and a deep clean.

Great Hotel spoilt by poor...

Liked: The room was very clean and tidy. We were impressed by the comfort, lighting, decor, TV and bathroom and shower. The staff were highly professional and very polite. Parking was plentiful and right outside the hotel entrance. Breakfast was very good except the Scrambled Egg which was watery and tasteless. If I'm honest it was not a breakfast worth £15. I have had a better breakfast at a cafe for £7.00.I would definitely stay again but probably give breakfast a miss.
