Comfortable but room location difficult
Liked: Ease of location next to airport. Easy check out and check in
Disliked: Location of room was a bit difficult with 2 young children, a pram and 4 suitcases. It was located down stairs without access to a lift which wasn’t ideal so would’ve preferred on the ground floor or via the lift.

Good
Liked: The room was nice and cosy, San Carlo’s restaurant was magnificent, food was exceptional, reasonably priced. We’ve requested robes and sliders in the room, they were there for our arrival. The location is very convenient, everything is very close, quick access to the motorway.
Disliked: We arrived at the hotel at around 8pm, it was my Birthday that I’ve mentioned in previous messages, it had been confirmed that I would receive a discount, which I’m not going to enclose here what it was for. When I’ve mentioned it to receptionist, she replied back “How come?” When I said it was my birthday, her and her co worker looked at each other pulling faces, she did not have a smile on her face just straight forward rude, condescending with the situation. Like the discount comes out of her own pocket. This did not make us feel welcomed at all. Clearly this is something that can get discussed after we’ve checked in and left reception. Also, this is something that people at the reception should be informed about at handover so these situations do not happen. I get it people have their own things going on, but if you choose this job, you’ve got to bloody smile, that’s what I’ve learned in my 6 years of working in hotels. On top of this, the next day the pool was closed all day as someone had been sick in it, so we could not use it. Huge disappointment. Breakfast was fine, but there’s improvements needed.

Upscale hotel close to the...
Liked: Even though the prices are a bit high, they are worth it, since it's an upscale hotel, close to the airport. The rooms are big, with a spacious bathroom, a desk, and a large TV. The hotel has a bar and restaurant, where you can get a drink and something to eat.The breakfast is decent, but mostly British style warm plates (bacon, beans, scrambled eggs, mushrooms). There's salami and ham, along with some cheese, for a more continental breakfast. Also, there are several types of cereal and yoghurts.
Disliked: The layout is very strange, it's like a maze, so getting to the room can be difficult until you memorize which turns to take. They have maps on the walls, with "you are here" signs on them, to help you navigate.

Left a sour feeling
Liked: The location as well as San Carlo being next door
Disliked: The negative attitude and rudeness of the minibus driver when checking in. Instantly made the stay tainted. I’m not sure who runs the Front of house, the juice heads on the door with the super tight shirts on flexing of the guys checking you in. Not a pleasant first impression experience due to the very important mini bus driver, who’s attempt’s toIntimidate customers didn’t and doesn’t sit right with me. I would suggest a lesson/training on customer relations, I wouldn’t want someone like that representing my company. Although he’s probably 3rd party
