Liked: Beautiful old priory in a stunning location. Easy parking and some lovely nearby food options (Duffield).
Disliked: Food was at best average and the room was a little tired.

Amazing grounds, friendly and helpful...

Liked: Absolutely stunning venue, beautiful grounds, friendly and helpful staff. From the moment we arrived staff were helpful and professional. We were greeted with a lovely scent, flavoured water and fresh fruit as we arrived.The room was clean and spacious.The evening meal and breakfast the next day was superb. Breakfast options were varied and suitable for anyone, including 4 different milks!The nature trail after breakfast soothed our souls, especially as the sun was out. It was only 8 degrees but felt like we was on a summer holiday. Such a chilled place to be - thank you.We will be choosing Marriot hotels where ever we go from now on. We also had a Marriot when we went to Bali, it was superb.
Disliked: I'd have preferred proper butchers sausages at breakfast rather than the ones supplied. The quilt was feather and so was noisy when moving in bed but this is only 2 very small points in an amazing stay.
