We booked for a weekend...

Liked: Food was lovely, room good for the money. Pool area a little bit tired looking and not much chill out space, but again from a value for money perspective it was acceptable. Steam Room and Sauna were great. Change area clean and plenty of lockers
Disliked: Bar food menu very limited, and some key drinks unavailable such as Guinness or Stout .Restaurant slightly more choice but still quite limited in my view.

Extremely Disappointing

Liked: Breakfast was Good
Disliked: Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing and fell far below the standards expected from this establishment. We stayed 1 night, having driven from London in a Family Pet-Friendly room. The staff member who checked us in was patronizing. When I asked about the amenities in the room, she dismissively responded with "A bed, TV." When I clarified that I was asking about tea, coffee, and water, her response remained unhelpful and unprofessional.Upon entering the room, we were immediately met with several unacceptable issues:The room had a strong, unpleasant smell. The bed sheets on both the single and super king beds were stained. One of the pillowcases had a hole in it, and none of the pillows had protective covers. Some pillows were stained and had an unpleasant odor.We discovered brown hair on the bedding, which indicated a lack of proper housekeeping. The bathroom had visible mold, raising concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. Most alarmingly, the fire damper had a significant build-up of grime and had not been checked for over two years, posing a serious fire safety risk.Housekeeping did not come to change the beddingWe raised the issues with Reception. The staff member offered a £30 refund for the dog’s stay but failed to acknowledge or apologize for the unacceptable condition of the room. Instead, I was told it was an "oversight" due to staffing shortages. This response was wholly inadequate—no hotel, regardless of staffing levels, should provide rooms in such a state.
