Liked: Actually due to fire damage the Days Inn by Wyndham had to switch our reservation over to the Galveston Beach Hotel. I thought it was wonderful how they did that for us instead of just canceling our reservation. The Galveston Beach Hotel was very nice, clean, friendly staff, and the complimentary breakfast was great. We had a balcony and enjoyed listening to the calming sea waves.

Disliked: I arrived there to find out the hotel is not open for business. Seem like it was in construction. I call the number available in the reservation and the number in Google, but there is no response, and I get a straight busy signal. Finally, I walk around the building and notice a small paper on a back door saying the hotel is closed and if we had a reservation to go to the Galveston Beach Hotel. When I got to the new hotel, I explained my situation, and the front desk lady did not acknowledge anything and just responded by " your name. " Then she proceeded by giving me a room number. The installation was very dirty. There was water all over the halls vomit in the lobbies bathroom. I asked for shuttle information to get to the cruise after checking out, and the lady said they had no shuttles and for me to search around or use Uber. I'm very disappointed at the whole stay.
