Whatever happened to customer service?

Liked: The gal at check in was friendly. Bed was comfortable. We were able to watch the football game on a nice t.v.
Disliked: Had no hot water for a shower. The morning desk clerk was next to no help with the hot water or issues with the breakfast bar. Had issues with the charges on my account, and when called to ask about it, the desk clerk was very offensive off the bat. Was not willing to listen to me. Hung up on me. I tried to reply to an email they sent to me, and it came back and said I had been blocked. I think they need a lesson in appropriate customer service.

Liked: The location was very convenient, room was very clean .
Disliked: I booked on booking.com for a ground level room for $64 was told their was an additional charge of $13 for the ground level. Not a big deal but should be included in the internet pricing. Also I have severe allergies the room was supposed to be Non smoking it reaped of smoke tried for hours to reach front desk got a busy signal. Bought candles to try to help ... didn't work ...left feeling horrible from the smell.
