Disliked: Horrifying. We were visiting Melbourne for medical reasons and chose this hotel because of the location and good reviews but this was the most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed…We arrived at the hotel Sunday evening, and after checking in and getting settled, I noticed there was a strong urine smell. The side table in the room was covered in dog hair and dried urine. The sheets were also dirty and makeup or blood on one of the towels. I messaged the front desk and asked if I could leave the table outside the room, and requested clean sheets and towels.A man came to the door about 30 minutes later with sheets and towels, and wanted to go into the room to inspect. I told him that my daughter was sleeping in the room and I did not want him going in. He then took the table with urine on it, walked it over to the hose outside, and I watched as he sprayed it off with water (no soap or disinfectant) then brought it back to me. I told him that I didn’t want the table as it hadn’t been sanitized. A few minutes later I receive a call from the front desk saying that I had to change rooms because I said there was dog urine. I told the woman that I’d already cleaned the room and sanitized everything and did not want to move. (I always bring disinfectant with me when traveling for the hotel) I also explained my daughter was sleeping, that it was late and we had to get up very early the next morning. She insisted that we weren’t allowed to stay in the room and had to move.So we were forced to move to another room and it was absolutely disgusting, far worse than the room we’d just moved from. The sheets and towels were stained, it’s difficult to determine if they were stained or just dirty. The bathroom had nail clippings on the floor. There were feces smeared on the wall under the light switch, and the mold was unbelievable. There was mold all around the ceiling everywhere. It was hard to sleep or relax because I didn’t want to touch anything, it was just so filthy.
