Days Inn by Wyndham Marietta-Atlanta-Delk Road, Marietta

In general I would not recommend this hotel to anyone else unless there were some maintenance issues taken care of and a new staff were hired who enjoyed customer service.

Disliked: I put the rating of "disappointing" not because I expected a 5 star hotel for the price that I paid but because I do expect for a hotel to be safe in all aspects and clean. We always get a hotel with a pool for entertainment for our kids because we don't have a lot of money to spend when we go somewhere but the pool was dirty and cloudy. Safety was definitely an issue. The bar to hold onto to walk down the steps into the pool was loose which is dangerous and the ladder to climb out of the pool was also loose. When I sat in one of the pool lounge chairs it cracked and I only weigh 145 lbs. There were a lot of lights in the walkways that were blinking constantly or just out. The rooms were not very clean, hence the roach we found, and the front desk people were not very friendly - like they would rather be somewhere else. Like I said I realize this was not a 5 star hotel, but I have been in one before that was just as old but the staff were super friendly, willing to do whatever needed to be done to make us, the paying customer, satisfied with our stay. Attitude goes a long way.

Disliked: I didn't like it because the whole building smells of marijuana and the smell is very strong. Another complaint is that the price that is set on the website is not real, when we arrive at the property they charge much more than what is on the website! This attitude on the part of the hotel office is horrible and not moral.

Disliked: The front desk clerk entered my room with the deadbolt locked while I was in the shower. My bed linen was absolutely disgusting.

Smelled terrible, false advertising

Disliked: The room smelled like animals, strong bad odor, from sheets to pillows everything smelled like a dog had just slept in the bed. It was so bad I couldn’t enjoy the night. WiFi did not work half the time. Shampoo and conditioner had nothing in it. From desk wouldn’t pick up the phone 90% of the time. No ice bins. It’s all show and no delivery on what’s promised.
