A cheap place to stay,...

Liked: I had quite a late check in to the Days Inn after some previous travel delays through the day, the receptionist was pleasant and friendly and the check in process was smooth and efficient, although parking is £5 on top of the booking.com fee which I hadn't previously seen, I was too tired and haggard to query this so just paid, but something to keep in mind. The booking itself was also the cheapest room I could find in Leicester so that's a plus point. The bed itself was fairly comfortable and I did manage to get a decent sleep, but I'm going to mark that down as being because of how tired I was on arrival.
Disliked: The room I was given felt very tired and although reasonably clean did feel a little unkempt. There were poorly patched holes next to electrical boxes, the light switch by the door looked dirty, there were no plugs next to the bed and it looked like the bedside table attachments on the head board had been ripped out at some point so I had to leave my phone out of reach which was a little annoying. The carpet has some suspicious stains, as did the towels, the window was fogged up like the seal had failed a long time ago and the bathroom felt like things were going to start falling apart in my hands, the toilet flush looks like it had cracked away from the tiles a long time ago, and the tiling itself had cracked along some seams in the walls. I ended up not even using the shower given the suspicious towels. The room or possibly the sheets also had a strange smell like stale fryer oil, if you know any cooks who deal with a deep fryer, you'll know exactly what smell I mean.

Liked: The location is awful on the M1. Horrible smell from drains in bathroom. Shower thermostat made a loud, horrible squeaking noise through the night. Window to bedroom didn't close tight so could hear traffic all night. Seems a lot of youth or homeless are housed there.Loud door banging through the night. Would never stay again.

Good clean place

Liked: Good clean place, good bed and shower, overall nice place to stay

Disliked: No lounge or bar. Position of hotel somewhat complicated to find.

Terrible receptionist..

Liked: I always stay at days inn And book a family room because we are a music group of 4 adults who don't mind using a family room but the man on reception was really rude and aggressive and wanted to charge me extra for the other 2 adults I refused and i let the other 3 sleep in the room and I who booked and paid for the room slept in our van..the previous night we stayed at Strensham services and the girl there was an absolute delight could not help us enough and never mentioned we where 4 adults has as every day's inn in the past.After our stay at Leicester we will now never use days inn again I know this won't mean a thing to your company but it will to us who now will look else where when we are looking to an over night stay..
