Superb

Liked: It’s near west tower. Me and my children loved camping there so to stay in a hotel in lake city brought back so many good memories

Exceptional

Rude staff and does not...

Liked: The room was fine
Disliked: The staff and check-in process was horrible. Had a confirmation through booking.com and initially, the staff refused to honor the confirmed price, stating they would charge walk-in rate, despite showing them the price on the confirmation that was confirmed a couple days earlier. The lady was very aggressive and rude, took no responsibility for situation, and put it on me to work out with booking.com, even though the problem is between motel and booking.com. After much hassle, and to my surprise, the lady's mood shifted suddenly from aggressive to pleasant, she took my confirmation and finally agreed to the confirmed price. It was very strange. I thought maybe she was on drugs or maybe she had other mischievous intentions. It turned out that they had overcharged me. The amount was supposed to be $106, 2 times for 2 rooms. Instead they charged the amount 3 times. When confronting the situation with them, they insisted they only charged 2 times and that the 3rd charge would drop off. It never did and actually posted to my account. Leads me to believe the aggressive lady and her mood switch behavior was the explanation to this. I should have just left the property when I suspected suspicious behavior. Ultimately, I was able to get the situation resolved with a different staff member. However, this motel really needs to work out their processes with 3rd party booking apps, and they really need to evaluate how their staff members treat their customers, especially regarding the management of people's payment forms. This was the most unkind and horrible motel experience I've ever had. Will never return and advise anybody to go somewhere else.
