Ok.
Liked: The location was great. The host was kind and considerate. The price was good. The room was a good size for us.
Disliked: The lamp between the beds was broken, the towel bar was not properly secured and fell down, and there was no hot water.

Liked: Bed comfortable
Disliked: Didn't feel secure. Doors and locks cheap, old and rundown. Exterior ugly. Other guests looked dodgy. Room was cold. Heater was noisy. Had to find electrical outlet for night stand stand light.

Comfortable and clean night stay
Liked: Good value for money. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Mechanical door lock required jiggling the key just right to unlock the door.

Decent stay when passing through
Liked: Many other hotels/motels in Dauphin appear to be off the main highway when entering the city. This motel is a bit more central and seems walkable to surrounding areas. We mainly used it for a quick stay on our way through the area, and appreciated that the rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and that there was a fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room. We stayed on a Sunday night, so it was pretty quiet. Parking was available on site but could possibly fill up depending on the number of guests staying. Check in was quick and easy, and for check out there is a key drop available in the event that the office is not yet open. Based on the price we paid, we were happy with the accommodations.
Disliked: This wasn't an issue for us, but make sure to check times for checking in / out when booking. It does seem like the office isn't always open although there is a number to call if need be. The exterior of the motel may not give off the best first impression, but easily overlooked since the rooms are clean and comfortable.
