Inappropriate Assumptions and Rude Receptionist

Liked: Good location, check in was easy even though I had late arrival.
Disliked: My male colleague and I booked a stay for two people in a two-room accommodation, specifically so we had our own bed and space. However, upon arrival at 1am after a long flight, we found that only one double bed was made, with no extra sheets or blankets provided. Exhausted, my colleague had to sleep the first night on an unmade bed, wrapped only in a sheet.When we addressed this the following day, the receptionist was extremely rude, arguing that "you should have let us know wouldn’t be sharing a bed." Rather than offering an apology, she dismissed our concerns, saying, “That’s too bad; that’s the way we do things here.”This expectation to bed share made for an uncomfortable experience and was not what we anticipated when booking a place with two separate rooms.
