The only thing I didn’t...

Liked: Property was nice, even though I was going through some construction. I didn’t really have an issue with that.
Disliked: Property was nice like I said it was close to a lot of things places. I just don’t like the fact that there was a lot of construction going on at the time when I was staying there if I would’ve known that beforehand, I would’ve went to go stay somewhere else, but I have to cook so in advance.

It was a waste of...

Liked: Food was good.
Disliked: Upon arrival, it took them 45 minutes to get us into our room, after traveling up and down the elevator multiple times with keys that did not work, a man let us into our room, but we then still didn’t have a key so we couldn’t leave. We had a scheduled dinner cruise that we almost missed, we were the very last ones to get on the boat and it was very hectic for us. My husband and I were celebrating Valentine’s Day, and I had scheduled this getaway to be relaxing for him. The hotel had lots of construction, more than it should’ve had while people stayed. I didn’t feel like I was staying at a hotel at all. I felt like I was at a construction site. There were pounding and Tile saws and all sorts of various noises. We were woke up sharply at 6 AM with pounding and kids sounded like they were in our room screaming. The staff seemed uncaring and like they had already heard so many complaints from others they didn’t wanna hear anymore. I had requested a king size bed and got what seemed like two double beds, when I asked to move to a more quiet area of the hotel, I was told that they weren’t allowed to move people and then I saw the lady that was checked in at the same time as us got moved to the quiet area. My husband wasn’t happy when he saw that they moved her and decided just not to move us. From online, it looked like there was an awesome buffet breakfast, we were escorted into a room, where we were the only patrons there were plastic on the carpet and makeshift room. The staff was clearly unhappy, and many commented to us things that I would never say to someone staying at my hotel. Though the food was good, we were hesitant to eat it as we were told the health department had been called. We were charged full price for our stay that was supposed to be at a luxury hotel, but it was pretty much a construction site with a lot of unhappy staff.

Passable

Liked: The property was under construction— which is fine. I likely would not have stayed there if I would have known. Check in was fairly late but once checked in the key to the room I booked didn’t work which was a King bed with sofa pull out. They have us different keys to a new room which was a double queen. They started construction around 8 am so if anyone wanted to sleep in there was absolutely no way.

Very poor

Liked: This is a fine hotel... we've stayed several time in recent years.
Disliked: As I said: This is a fine hotel... we've stayed several time in recent years. The BIG issue is the demolition and construction that we encountered... think: JACKHAMERING. They were apologetic, but really, the hotel should be closed during heavy duty construction. Now I'm fighting with Booking.com to get a refund on the deposit I paid since we did not stay there at all.

Dirty Hotel

Liked: The bartender Greg was great! Very friendly and very efficient
Disliked: Jacuzzi never got above 98°. The room we stayed in the heat never really worked. The worst part is when I went to make coffee with a coffee maker in the room I heard some water there. I went to go dump it out and it was mold. Big chunks in the coffee pot. I brought it to the front desk detention. They thought it was no big deal and just gave me another one. I have pictures I will post if they do not refund me 100%. My family and I would have been in the hospital had we drank out of that machine. Additionally, there was about a 20-minute wait to get any hot water as there was construction going on which was not disclosed during the time of booking making it very loud and very dusty and dirty. Horrible experience

Renovation and update in progress.

Liked: The entire property is being completely renovated and updated. Our room was new and modern and roomy.
Disliked: The new and remodeled bathroom was a little tight, but functional. Not wild about the swinging glass door into the bathroom.
