Sleepless in Hickory

Liked: Great staff, clean for the most part.
Disliked: Hotel is right off of main street. Honestly, it sounded like " drag racing" both Friday night and Saturday night. I asked some local people about it and they said that, yes, Hickory was known for this very thing!! Needless to say that I won't be staying there again. Two sleepless nights are not inviting!!

Liked: Spacious and close to restaurants and easy access to interstate.
Disliked: Stayed 2 nights and housekeeping didn’t refresh towels

Liked: The bed was comfortable the pillows were comfortable. Everything was pretty clean. Definitely cleaner than some I've stayed in.
Disliked: To begin with, it was nice. The room was pretty plain. Guess for what I paid. I was expecting at least a painting or a $10 picture from the DG. It was fairly clean, though. We went back to the car and moved it closer to our room. It would have been nice to know when we checked in. We left and got some food. The stairway going down to the parking lot smelled rancid. Like somebody took a pee out there, and it was just left to the weather to clean. As the night went on, the traffic picked up. People in and out of their rooms all night long. Slamming doors. The parking lot was just as bad. A lot of foot traffic out there. As far as the atmosphere, it felt like I was in a drug motel. The room felt like it also other than being cleaner. The couch in the room felt like it had been there a hot minute.
