Pleasant

Liked: The staff were lovely and very accommodating and the food was nice. Breakfast choices were excellent.
Disliked: There were a few issues that didn't make our stay as good as I'm sure it could have been. We used the pool after a 7.5hr journey to stretch off before dinner as we were there to go to legoland the next day. I found the changing rooms and pool area very messy with dirty towels laying around wet and unused, taking up seats or on changing room floors. The hydro pool also was closed although seemed to be working.Our room was quite cold, so we used the electric heater in the wardrobe, but the dry heat didn't help with a cough my son had. When we mentioned in the morning the staff said the previous person may have asked for it to be turned off and it can be fixed remotely from the reception but we weren't to know that.In addition, the fan in the bathroom kept dropping water from it, which meant we couldn't even stand in front of the sink to wash as it dripped on us regularly.

Great looking hotel and facilities,...

Liked: Nice pleasant looking hotels and rooms with great Spa facilities.
Disliked: Barking dogs disturbing sleep early in the morning. I wouldn't ever stay here again knowing they accept pets that envitably will be jumping up and down on bed and chairs within this hotel.I Also notice hotel guests also having their dogs sitting in chairs in the bar restaurant. This would otherwise be a really nice hotel.Room classed as superior King which was on the small side for the money paid, very little room to move around.

NYE Disaster

Liked: Good facilities, room was clean and comfortable. Beautiful building, helpful staff.
Disliked: The organisation of the staffing was terrible. Individual staff members were doing their best to give a satisfying service. But failing to register my table booking, that was notified 1.5 months ago. Not answering the phone and when they did answer, false promises were made. Providing food menus with no prices on them. To find the chicken dish was £42, poor value for money. Waiting for an hour to receive the main. To be told items are no longer available.I understand this was New Year's eve, a very busy night. This is not an individual staff issue. It is a management issue.

Disliked: Spa wasn’t working properly. Sauna faulty. Jacuzzi not working . Waited 3 hours for 1st course dinner and never got main. Bar service was appalling . Premier room looked at a steel box container. Bath didn’t drain and toilet roll holder was broken
