This beautiful country house hotel from 1861 set in 28 acres of wonderful gardens and 4 Gold Stars (Visit Scotland) for affordable luxury 19 mi from Edinburgh. The hotel was also awarded by AA as Scotland's Hotel Of The Year 2013/14. Despite its peaceful rural location Cringletie House is only about 30 minutes drive from Edinburgh and Edinburgh Airport. The convenient yet secluded location makes the small country-house hotel ideal for a relaxing or romantic break. The restaurant with hand-painted ceiling provides excellent fine dining. The à la carte menu changes seasonally to reflect the finest freshest produce available locally. Many dishes feature ingredients from the hotels 400-year-old walled kitchen garden. The beautiful location and beautifully appointed accommodations makes the hotel a superb base for the Tweed Valley.

Liked: The room was well appointed and spacious.The staff were very attentive and helpful. The food was very good, I was wary of the 5 course meal concept but it was excellent.

Wonderful location, hotel and staff....

Liked: Beautiful location. Lovely rooms throughout and very friendly and welcoming staff. Our bedroom was gorgeous - crisp linen, bathrobes and homemade shortbread. We had a great stay and will definitely be back.
