Disappointing stay

Liked: Great location with easy access into central Christchurch
Disliked: Our room was very dated and felt dingy. It also had a strange smell

Really handy place to stay,...

Liked: Really comfortable bed. Great shower, good bathroom. Nice covered veranda with outdoor seating.
Disliked: The lighting was really poor, making it very difficult to work after dark, and there was limited natural light during the day. The gardens off the deck were a work in progress, partially weeded, and partially overgrown. The photos showed an oven in the unit, but there wasnt one, and the photos appeared to show a single unit, but the room was attached to the unit next door.

Liked: Cat named Laser Pickles 😂 Felt very private and had our own wee outdoor space which was fully fenced off.Picked here without looking at reviews as I was meeting family here and was surprised at the value. Had sky tv, comfy bed, and more kitchen equipment than I expected!

Good motel well looked after

Disliked: A bit out dated and a drive into town

Disliked: There was a stench in the room which I figured out was from both the range hood and heat pump. A dirty, oily, musty smell. Tried airing out with windows open and heat pump running but it didn't work. Turning on the range hood made it worse! It was gross. The shower head holder is also broken, you must hold the shower nozzle at all times to wash yourself. I won't be staying here again
