Craig-y-Dderwen is a traditional hotel in the small but popular village of Betws-y-Coed. Just 5-10 minutes' walk from the village center Craig-y-Dderwen is the only hotel located away from its busy main road. With free parking this is an excellent place to relax and plan your stay in the Snowdonia National Park. Most rooms have beautiful views of either the Conwy Valley or the flowing river. Great location, spacious rooms.

Liked: Great location. Spacious room. HelpfulStaff.
Disliked: Everything was great. Shower took a while to warm up at times but no real problem. Midges are a problem if you leave a window open.

Lovely location, room not very...

Liked: Beautiful location, breakfast overlooking the river wonderful
Disliked: Sounds quite picky, but fire alarm went off in the middle of the night with no explanation, so no sleep after.

Probably the best place in...

Liked: Excellent location, the restaurant food was superb too, and the staff were great as well. Extra points for Mark's banter with us - he made the stay even better.
Disliked: Look, it's a great location, food etc but the room wasn't particularly quiet and we could hear a crying baby at various times during the night. I'd still stay here again but if you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs or some kind of "white noise" device!!

Fantastic clean, picturesque hotel. Good...

Liked: Absolutely spotless. Grounds are beautiful. Extremely dog friendly. 10 minute walk to the town. Quiet. Delicious breakfast, food from full breakfasts, bagels, porridges.

disappointing

Liked: food was a little limited due to unavailability of chefs. and certain items served were inadequate for quantity
Disliked: the disabled room was not up to standard in my opinion and was too small for the cost. Furniture was dated and needs updating
