Joy, visiting Carnegie Music Hall Thu, 27 March 2014

Very clean; very nice.

Liked: I stayed at the Wyndham on two different occasions in one week. If I hadn't enjoyed the first stay, I would not have gone for the second! The hotel is beautiful, easy to get around in, and the Bridges restaurant is amazing - great menu, delicious food. The hotel and restaurant staff were both welcoming and professional. We took a shuttle to Carnegie for a concert - the drive was extremely helpful and friendly. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Unhappy. Overcharged

Liked: It was clean
Disliked: I reserved a king room. Was put in a queen room. I called them, was told I was wrong. I felt belittled. 3 calls and finally going to the desk and saying I want someone to come to my room. Finally moved to a king room. Shower wouldn't drain, large clump of hair. Told where to park, and was charged $30 a day, I wasn't advised. Beware of hidden charges. $140. Room deposit. I got $60. Back.

A Nightmare Hotel: Unprofessional Staff,...

Liked: Not a single thing.
Disliked: This was hands-down one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had, and I would never return.First, when I tried to check in, the agent, Hannah, couldn't even find my reservation. It was painfully obvious she wasn’t properly trained and didn't seem prepared to handle basic tasks in front of customers. After an unnecessarily long delay, we finally got our room, went upstairs, and tried to wash our hands—only to find the sink was clogged...I went downstairs to ask for help and requested a room change. This was denied, and when I went back up, there was an unbearable smell from their attempt to unclog the sink. It was so bad that I had to return downstairs, bringing my wife and two kids, to ask again for a room change. The agents Terence and Michael seemed more interested in mocking me than helping. They refused to take me seriously, showed off their name badges as if to intimidate me. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, Michael claimed he was the supervisor, which only added to the frustration.Eventually, after escalating the issue to yet another supervisor (whose name I forgot), we finally got a room change. Moving our bags back upstairs, the smell in the original room was extremely overwhelming, so I asked the agents to come up and see for themselves. Terence flat-out refused, despite there being no other customers around. Michael reluctantly agreed but did nothing about it, nor did he ever follow up with me.That night, things went from bad to worse. Our neighbors were incredibly loud, possibly drunk, and when we asked them to quiet down so our kids could sleep, they slammed the door in our faces. The hotel staff was no help, and to top it all off, the TV in our room had no sound, so we couldn’t even try to drown out the noise. In the morning, we thought at least we could have a decent breakfast, but we were wrong. The cashier system broke down, causing a long wait, and the food quality was terrible.

We only stay for one...

Liked: The staff was great, checking in and out. I like the parking being easy to get in and out. We loved the area and being walking distance to lots of places to visit and eat out. We are ate at the hotel for dinner and the food was excellent.
