Nice alcohol-free place not worth...

Liked: The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff was very pleasant. The facility was well maintained. That said, this is not a $400/night hotel.
Disliked: If you checked into this roughly $400/night hotel and planned to have some wine with your fish dinner, or maybe a beer with your fish and chips at their "bistro", well think again. They don't serve alcohol and fish is not on the menu. As a matter of fact, alcohol cannot be consumed on the premises except in your room. And it turns out that no place in the town of Laie sells alcohol, not even the Foodland grocery. Apparently the Mormon Church is very influential in the area. The nearest place to purchase alcohol is about a ten minute drive, and the nearest place to get a meal with alcohol is about a 15 minute drive. It is their right to have this policy if they want to, but nowhere on their website or the booking.com website is this mentioned, and had we known this, it might have affected our decision about staying here.

Liked: Right across the street from the beach. Pool area was nice.
Disliked: Paid for an ocean view but there was no view. When we talked to the desk staff they said “Yea, you really can’t see anything from the first floor” No option to ch age rooms or reduce rate. This is an alcohol free property, which is fine but it should be info given at booking time.
