Horrible service

Disliked: The hotel was overbooked, even though we had checked in online the day before. After 24 hours of travel, we arrived only to be informed that we would have to stay at another hotel. The room we were given there could not accommodate all five guests, so the start of our stay was unacceptable, despite the fact that the night was on the hotel’s expense. Horrible for a chain like Marriott, which should maintain a certain standard—or lack thereof—regarding customer service. Our complaint to the hotel about this has, by the way, remained unanswered to date. It seems that the hotel speculates on increasing room rates and then overbooks to send the first booking guests elsewhere.
