Very good
Liked: Liked the location, near the ballpark and close to lots of restaurants and stores. Didn’t like the first room we were put in (view of roof, half of window was blocked) but we were moved to the front which was better. Shower sprayed water all over bathroom and shower floor was worn so made it look dirty. Staff was helpful when approached.

Disappointed stay
Liked: It was a very nice location, close to many places and the cubs facility but sadly the location was the only thing I liked.
Disliked: I will say there wasn’t much I liked at the hotel. I chose Courtyard because it seemed to be a premium brand but my experience was anything but. The rooms felt outdated, stains on some of the furniture, if you just showed me the room I would have thought it was a Red Roof or other budget option. And don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with that if you want to pay a lower cost but at almost $250 a night, I expected better quality. My biggest issues came down with lack of communication and professionalism. Upon booking there was no mention of any “planned upkeep” on the facilities and wasn’t until a night in of my 5 day stay that I saw papers on all the rooms doors saying Monday was going to be water repair and that for several hours the water would be off for the entire hotel, then the following day was just a somewhere between 9-5 there will be fire alarm tests. Long story short, it was very inconvenient and just downright annoying that this was going on and any guests were just expected to be blindsided with it on their stay. Once again, I understand this was probably unavoidable but after checking with the staff they confirmed they knew of this long before and to not let people know ahead of paying for rooms felt as if it was yet another company just hoping people would not care and knew they’d lose some business on those days. If I’m paying almost $1300 for a stay, I deserve to know if my water was going to be off and that maintenance employees would be required to just knock and enter my room (yes that did happen to everyone), I need to know before handing over my money. This may fall on deaf ears but I never write reviews unless something is above and beyond good or bad and it’s clear this was not the good version. I loved my time in Arizona (excluding the hotel) and will definitely be back, just with another brand because sadly they lost my business and I wouldn’t hesitate to tell anyone that asked me to avoid this location.
