I paid for a room...

Liked: I'm confused. I slept outside in the parking lot because I was told the reservation I paid online wasn't in the system.
Disliked: I don't like that I paid for a room and slept outside in my car with my grandson. When I say slept, I'm referring to the one hour that I was able to because I felt unsafe. I don't like that my body is aching. I don't like being sent a survey request when I didn't get the service I paid for. I feel like I'm being taunted when the hotel said they didn't have a reservation for me it must be booking.com but now I'm receiving a survey request. So I did have a reservation and endured a scary uncomfortable night in my car for nothing? Please help me understand cause all of this is going to the Attorney Generals office.
