Disappointing Stay Due to Musty...

Liked: Check in was quick.
Disliked: After a very long drive, I booked a stay and checked in at the Courtyard by Marriott in Macon around 9:30PM and, unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. From the moment I entered my room, I was greeted by a strong musty odor that made it difficult to feel comfortable. The smell of humidity was pervasive, and it felt like the room had not been properly ventilated in a long time.Despite my efforts to run the air condition to recirculate the air, the unpleasant smell persisted throughout my stay. This made it challenging to relax and get a good night’s sleep. Additionally, the dampness in the air made the room feel clammy and uncomfortable.I brought this issue to the attention of the hotel staff around 11:15pm, but their response was lackluster. They offered to spray air freshener, which only masked the smell temporarily and did not address the underlying problem. I was not offered an alternative room or any other form of compensation for the inconvenience.Overall, my stay at the Courtyard by Marriottwas disappointing due to the musty and humid conditions of the room. I hope the management takes steps to address these issues to improve the experience for future guests.

Liked: Barbara at the reception desk is amazing!! She greeted us, welcomed us, recommended nearby restaurants and was so professional and friendly. Pool was amazing first thing in the morning before my long drive. Breakfast is one of the best deals u have ever had at a hotel!!! Do not miss it.
