It was a good stay....

Liked: the beach and pool were nice. The food at the restaurants was very good.
Disliked: refreshed the room only once before having to call to have it done

Disliked: Way more crowded than my last visit, felt more like a tourist destination than a relaxing Hawaiian holiday.

Exceptional

Liked: Super clean, beautiful landscaping, staff was friendly, very comfy bed and room. All the basics was covered. The location is good too, right on the small but beautiful beach, close to shops, restaurants, etc
Disliked: A bit expensive, but that’s bc it’s in Hawaii.. the same hotel in the main land would’ve cost half of the price. But we did splurge and get the room facing the ocean.

Disliked: Double room rate because of event, restaurant food poor, mold in bath, bed cover had holes, ocean view terrible (misleading)

Very good

Liked: very conveniently located surrounded by many shops and restaurants. Also the hotel is one of the main pickup points for many tour organizers. quick access to the beach and about 15min ride to the Kona airport. Staff was nice and kind. The hotel has a beautiful hall showing various historical heritage.
Disliked: the reception can be quite crowded when big groups arrive (seemed to me the hotel was popular among group tours)
