Beware of the Oceanview at...

Liked: You could walk to many places restaurants, stores and bars.
Disliked: Only the suites have an ocean view. Don’t be fooled like me with the bait and switch the property tries to sell an ocean view (if you get onto your balcony and turn your body at an angle to see the ocean). The staff is trained to say from your balcony it’s an ocean view! I literally had a garden view from my room with a parking lot on the left side! At the prices you pay it is not worth booking an ocean view. The front desk supervisor was nice as well at the recreation team

Liked: Great view, nice pool and pool bar/restaurant
Disliked: The room HVAC needs more fan control. We don't like a cold room, but the only way to get the fan on was to set the temp lower. Housekeeping brought us a floor fan, and the second night we left the balcony door open.

Location, Location

Liked: LOVED the cold water machines next to the ice machines. This saved us SO much money!! Plus it was a really nice touch. The "key" bracelets are a stroke of genius - waterproof, wearable and difficult to lose - but the BIG plus is that we didn't have to deal with rude, bully parking attendants that we had read about from previous reviews! Mahalo!! The dining room staff were SO welcoming and offered wonderful service - Kudos to Marie, Lani and Mr. Omelette gentleman.
Disliked: When we booked the rooms with Booking.com, the room description said breakfast was included. Ten months later just prior to arrival we discovered that only TWO guests per room had included breakfasts; any others (the children) had to pay for breakfast and the prices were egregiously exorbitant (i.e., $32 for the teens - OMG!!). The sofa bed was quite uncomfortable - better to put 2 queen beds in the room. The bathrooms are dated and need to be renovated/updated, especially with the high prices we paid for the rooms.

Liked: Beautiful view of the sea! Interesting series of historical paintings in the lobby.
Disliked: Incredibly loud morning weed-whacking! Would be great to switch to electric ones that are waaaay quieter. Bathroom pocket door didn’t close. Couldn’t take a bath - spigot and plug had been removed.
