Superb

Cramped, but clean room in...

Liked: The room was clean, the furnishings nice, windows black-out-able, and lighting adequate. The bathroom was clean and stocked, though I'm not wild about the included soaps. I expected the king room to come with a microwave for leftovers, but it did not. However, with a quick call to the front desk, we had a small microwave delivered to our room in minutes-- nice! The housekeeping folks were cute; I used a washcloth and hung it on a bar in the shower to dry (we try to reuse our linens as much as possible), and they left a clean and folded one in the exact same spot. The Wi-Fi was impressive at 200/200 Mbps down/up, but that was on a weekday evening. On the weekends, it slowed to a crawl and was nigh-unusable at times. Your mileage may vary. The hotel is in "Rio," a big, labyrinthine shopping and nightlife area. Lots of restaurants, shops, and a theater in walking distance. There's a Target nearby, if you don't mind a 10-minute walk. Fitness center downstairs has a filtered water dispenser to fill your water bottles if you don't want to fill from the bathroom tap, as we normally do.
Disliked: The room was surprisingly small for a king room. Easily the smallest we've stayed in for a while. Honestly felt cramped at times. The bed was average, maybe slightly below. We slept poorly the first few nights, and maybe only slept OK the last night after we "got used to it." Parking is free, which is nice, but it's in a public multi-story parking garage across the street for the entire surrounding shopping area, so it can be irritating to navigate during busy shopping/nightlife hours. There are elevators.

Disliked: I had the worst shower in my life. The water in my shower kept going from warm to HOT and then COLD. Front desk said they would send someone up to “look at it” but I said no because I didn’t want anyone in my room while I was gone. Front desk staff were great

Some small tweaks and this...

Liked: The staff was kind and very helpful even with the skeleton crew due to the holidays. The beds were very comfy and the pillows were perfect. We enjoyed the view from the room and being so close to just about anything, shopping, dining, movies you name it. All in all we had a decent stay just need a few improvements.
Disliked: The breakfast was terrible. overcooked microwaved sandwiches. The menu selection was confusing. I was expecting a continental breakfast or at least something tasty and fulfilling. The first night, no one was in the bistro. no vending machines. There are no microwaves in the room, the parking was terrible, having to walk through the garage back to the hotel at night was not ideal, although it was not far at all.

Satisfied with our stay and...

Liked: I booked the hotel, so my husband and I could get away for the weekend. The hotel location was excellent as it was very close to a variety of restaurants, a movie theatre, shopping stores & trails. No need to drive around. We enjoyed walking around the waterfront shopping center. Public parking was available near the hotel and it was free. The water view and boardwalk were amazing. The front desk staff was friendly and very courteous. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Disliked: The AC/Heater unit did not function properly and it was hard to regulate the temperature of the room. It was not a big deal as the temperature fixed itself eventually.
