Easy check in. Very good room with big comfortable bed. Good all round experience.

Liked: The rooms were nice, the place is generally clean & the staff are friendly.
Disliked: The staff don't know what's going on, there are definitely not enough people working & the wait time at the bar can be ridiculous. The barman is in the restaurant most of the time, but the wait time for a drink in the restaurant is no better then the bar. To top it off, they even forgot to bring my last drink out all together. Nobody really knows what's going on, everyone is friendly enough but nobody is very competent.I don't really understand why parking is an extra, it's in the middle of nowhere. 2 out of 3 of the toiletries in the shower were empty, makes you consider what else has been missed. The food was disappointing, the scotch egg was surprisingly dull & overcooked. I have had many a scotch egg & this one was a let down.The fish pie had a cracking amount of cheese on the top! The mash was nice, but the fish & sauce was a massive let down. I'll drive the extra 10 minutes into Exeter next time I'm passing unfortunately

Will definitely stay again.
Liked: Nicely located and close to where we wanted to go. Very quiet considering the hotels location close to the motorway.
Disliked: Nothing really. One little gripe no muffins at breakfast.

Accomdation was good. But for...
Liked: Good clean room, warm and plenty of room
Disliked: Bar was poor asked for a beer, barman had to ring down the change the barrel. Ask for 2 glass of red instead, barman had the ring to get bottles of red. Asked for a baileys barman had to ring down for a bottle baileys. Pretty poor, it's a bars function is to ensure enough stock was available at point of asking. Barmen did apologise for the delays. About 10 mins for our drinks. This was at 6pm in the evening.

Pleasant staff lovely room ample...
Liked: The room was lovely clean, and had everything you would need, there was also a snack shop or to purchase things you may have forgotten
Disliked: Would have been nice if the option to eat in the bistro was available

Good hotel if you don’t...
Liked: Warm welcome at reception and it’s very new and clean.
Disliked: The restaurant was very poor. Inexperienced staff who were blunt and not trained in waiting tables. I was unable to book a table, and was told to walk in, yet there was a 15 min wait even though there were empty tables. Food took ages to arrive and three of the starters were not on the menu.All in all, the restaurant standards did not match the hotel.
