Never Again.

Liked: Not far from Edinburgh Waverley station (approx 5 mins by taxi), and very close proximity to Edinburgh Playhouse, where I had booked to see a show in the evening.
Disliked: 1st Room - Loud hum/rattle from A/C unit on ceiling, and noise from fans outside window, various stains on pillow slips/bed frame/chair/carpet, glass on window panes were filthy, foul poo smell in bathroom etc., Rang hotel reception, and they advised me to come back down to reception to arrange replacement room. Had to wait quite a while as they advised me at first that they were fully booked and could not find another available room. I was not happy, and did not have enough time to go looking for another hotel, at such last minute, as I was still to get ready for a show I was seeing at the Edinburgh Playhouse. Eventually, the staff were able to locate a replacement room. By this point, I was running late, so was aware that the replacement room would have to do, as I was already running out of time, but was hopeful it would at least be acceptable as I would have no other options.Replacement Room - various stains on pillowcases and towels/ironing board/bathroom door/curtains, etc., Towels and bedding did not smell clean/fresh, bed was uncomfortable, constant banging of doors opening & closing in adjacent rooms all the time (Inc., after 11pm and before 6am), housekeeping staff repeatedly banging on my door at 11am to ask when I was leaving (checkout is not until 12pm!!), Overall, unpleasant experience, and at £173 per night, this is certainly not the experience one would expect. As an offer of goodwill, the front desk staff deducted 20% off my room rate when checking out. This brought the final room charge down to £138 for one night stay. Even at this reduced rate, it certainly did not reflect value for money, for such an unpleasant experience. For this reason, I would NOT stay here again and would not recommend to others. Very, very disappointed.

Clean decent with free parking...

Liked: Stayed here before a couple of times I use it as it has secure free parking , never had chance to use the facilities.
Disliked: I think for £95 they could at least give you a complimentary bottle of water .

Lovely week in in Edinburgh

Liked: Breakfasts were excellent with everything you could want. The room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. The staff were all very polite and helpful. The Gym looked very good, however we did not use it as we intended, as we were usually exhausted from sight seeing
Disliked: Nothing.
