Couldn't wait to leave soon...

Liked: We were assigned a handicapped room, although we did not request it. The room made a hospice facility look good. The bathroom was hospital grade, the LED lights were on high-glare. THe gym had minimal amenities (example: would love to see an ab board or a rowing machine and at least one weight machine). The room was barren; we joked that the TV screen was bigger than the bed, which were very low to the ground. Guests should learn NOT to slam their door shut at 2am.The bedroom itself was fairly stark and institutional. My wife and I stayed one night and even that was a stretch. There is nothing to recommend the money the company put into its "renovations". It is usually a turn off when one turns on the shower faucet and brown rusted water comes out and even then, one has to wash off old hairs sticking to the side of the tub/show wall.
Disliked: We didn't like the fact that we were paying premium prices for a low-rent experience. And, at the price, it was a little cheesy to have to pay $6 for a bottle of water in the room. A bottle of beer, I could understand. No clock by the bedside (I guess everyone sleeps with their iPhone?). The lobby was over run with kids when we arrived which just made a hectic, messy image for a first-blush view of the premises. The hotel lobby should not be used as a romper-room. This was definitely not the "Courtyard-by-Merriott" experience of years ago.
