Friendly and helpful staff. The...
Liked: The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean although a little outdated. Breakfast was really good, although things could be situated differently for the high foot traffic.
Disliked: I didn't care for the fact that we were told it was pet friendly and when we arrived it wasn't. We had to have our son keep our dog at his house which was inconvenient for everyone.

Horrible experience. First time we...
Liked: This is the first dishonest experience we have ever experienced from a hotel’s front desk. We arrived at the Country Inn & Suites Williamsburg historic area by 400 Bypass at 12:40 PM on March 29, 2025. I booked the reservations ahead from Booking.com and received 2 email confirmation. Prior to leaving my house in the morning, I also called the front desk to confirm if I can arrive at 12:30 PM. The gentleman on the phone confirmed that it was fine. When we got there, there was a lady at the front desk. She could not find out reservation and told us we may be at the wrong Country Inn & Suites. We drove to the 2nd one and were told it was actually the first one by 400 Bypass historic area. We came back the 2nd time and there was still the same front desk lady. I showed her the confirmation email. She then blamed Booking.com and said there must be something wrong from their end. I even asked if we can make a new reservation but she sent us away and told us to work it out with Booking.com. We just drove 3 hours to get there and didn’t want to be late to the park. We then had to make a new reservation at a different hotel. I called Booking.com later on the same day. The customer service lady was very nice and helpful. She asked me to wait in line and called the hotel. At first they couldn’t find my reservation either but then after Booking customer service showed them how to find it they did. They also lied to her that I never showed up to confirm. I asked Booking.com customer service to ask Country Inn to check their camera at the front desk and gave her my exact arrival times there. Now Booking.com is trying to make a claim with the hotel so we don’t have to pay for the cancellation fees of $150. It is not just the money but the ineptitude and dishonesty of the hotel staff that left us appalled.

Pleasant
Liked: The hot tub was broken. The pool area was dirty. There was black mold growing in the bathroom on the walls. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows very soft and flat. The front desk staff was nice and the breakfast was good.
