Disliked: The hotel smells terrible and one of the sheets of the bed had paw prints and the smell was so bad.

OK but not great for...
Liked: Location to Airport good. Bad for local ammenities. Couldn't walk anywhere.
Disliked: No local bar, restaurant or shopping. Fridge did not work in room. Pool cold. Not a reasonable price for what you get. Bathroom needs repair.

Liked: The room was updated and clean.
Disliked: We were not told that the hotel would be filled with motorcycle riders. There were quite a few of them underneath our window in the parking lot reving their engines, playing loud music, and talking loudly. I checked the internet and found out that there was a 4-day bike show going on in Scottsdale. This was the second day of that show, and we were nowhere near Scottsdale having stayed by the airport in Phoenix.There were no places to eat nearby other than a hotel a couple blocks away. We made the walk and did not see any motorcyclists at the other hotels. I contemplated changing hotels, but this was an unrefundable reservation. I felt I should have been told before I booked that this bike event was taking place and that the hotel was full of bikers. I checked booking.com for additional reservations at other hotels because I was not wanting to stay at this one. I saw that the same room I had booked was now $30 cheaper. I approached the front desk and let them know of my discontent and ask what they could do about letting me out of the reservation or at least giving me the current lower rate. The manager I spoke with stated she could do nothing about either request, and then stated that it was not their responsibility to let guests know of events or how their stay may be affected because of them. The manager was not pleasant, but I politely disagreed that I should have some recourse for our inconvenience and/or price change, stating I would not have booked that hotel for if I had known. I told her that I am a long-standing rewards member for their hotel chain and had never encountered this situation with them before. We had already been inconvenienced greatly and I did not feel safe. She ultimately authorized a 10% discount, but felt I had to fight for it. The manager who gave me the discount was not pleasant about it at all and said that I was the only guest that would be given a discount.

Liked: check-in, despite being extremely busy and all along, the front desk clerk (a younger Latina, named? Selina? not sure) was EXTREMELY friendly, patient, composed and helpful

Liked: Everything was good. The evening desk person wasn't at the desk but she was very helpful when she came. The room was nice and large and comfortable but could have used a carpet. The floor was cold. Basically it was a fine experience. Getting to the airport was awesome!

Decent hotel at a good...
Liked: Conveniently close to airport, shuttle provided, decent breakfast. Front desk staff friendly and helpful.

Liked: Even tho the arpt shuttle was out of service, the front desk did help with a Lyft ride from/to the arpt. TV was not working in the room. Front desk told us b4 we took the room. But this was an issue on the other visit as well with certain rooms.
