Disliked: First clothes dryer are used did not dry my clothes. I let the staff know I was not offered to refund. The dryer Did not get warm at all.

Nice place, great value for...

Liked: The hotel was clean. The beds were comfortable. The wifi was good. The breakfast was good. The value for the price was very good. The fireplace in the lobby is a nice touch. I recommend this place and was very satisfied with my stay.
Disliked: The indoor swimming pool was a little too cold, so I chose not to use it on many occasions. Also, housekeeping did not make up the room while I stayed there. We had to ask for towels and for them to take out the trash. They won't do anything unless told apparently. I still recommend this place though.

Perfectly average stay

Liked: For the price (buck-thirty), it was fine. The front desk did allow us to upgrade from the two queens for free, which was nice. It was very quiet. The shower functioned, free breakfast was provided (we didn't go), and it was easy enough to get to our room. The parking lot connects to a Steak N Shake and a Meijer, both a short walk away. Mini-split HVAC worked well, though it was a bit noisy.
Disliked: The window completely lacked a full shade curtain. I think this is the first hotel we've ever stayed at where we couldn't block the sun coming through the window. It had a white, light-filtering shade, and that's it. There were thick valence curtains on either side that _looked_ like they would come together to form a full curtain, but each side was only a foot wide. We could have forgiven that if the bed were comfortable, but it was not. Be prepared to be awoken by the sun after a poor night's rest. All said, it was perfectly average and acceptable for the price paid, but if it were a dollar more, I would have been super irritated. Also, the only way in through the parking lot in the rear of the building is through the pool area, which is very odd. That entrance was also always unlocked, which didn't feel particularly safe. Marion seems like a small shopping town with suburban sprawl, and isn't particularly close to anything of note; we still had to drive 20 minutes to reach our destination.
